Adaptive reuse means conversion of an existing building for a purpose other than that for which it was originally built or designed. Redevelopment of existing structures has always been an issue of central importance to us – projects include the transformation of the 25hours Hotel Wien at MuseumsQuartier from a 1970s student residence into a design hotel of the 21st century, the conversion of a former clerical residence into MAGDAS Hotel Vienna City, the redesign of architect Carl Appel's office building as The Hoxton, Vienna, and, most recently, the Funkhaus Wien.
