BWM for Otto-Wagner-Areal!
We’re thrilled about a very special new undertaking: In the course of a three-stage selection process, we were chosen for general planning services in the renovation of several buildings in the heritage-protected Otto Wagner Areal, which will then be used by the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). We can’t wait to get started on this ambitious project!

Big changes are coming to Argentinierstrasse this year! With the building permit and the approval from the Federal Monuments Office secured, work at the Funkhaus can finally begin. Our team is raring to go, with the path clear for the planned timber-hybrid building. Technology Award!
The wooden spiral for the Austrian pavilion at EXPO Osaka 2025 was honoured with the Austrian Green Planet Building Technology Award, with the official award ceremony taking place in Vienna on 10 December. Congratulations and many thanks to everyone involved!

Sweet treats.
The interior at confectionery Oberlaa complements the subtle colours of its sweet treats like the popular LaaKronen, tartelettes and eclairs. The pastel colour scheme at the townhouse on Neuer Markt in the bright, open rooms creates an atmosphere that is both refreshing and warm. In the staircase area the colour is concentrated into a vibrant coral tone.

To mark the start of sales for the apartments at Funkhaus Wien, Rhomberg invited to a site visit. Niederösterreichischer Kulturpreis!
On October 23, 2025, the Lower Austria Culture Awards 2025 were presented at a gala ceremony at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten. Moderated by Teresa Vogl, Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner honored outstanding Lower Austrian artists for their achievements. In addition, a special prize for “exhibition design” was awarded this year, which, in the context of the annual focus “Remembering for the Future,” highlights the outstanding importance of audience-oriented design of learning spaces and places for the reception of history and art. BWM founder and partner Johann Moser received the honorary award in this category.

Backstage on Stage
With its decidedly theatrical flair, BWMs concept for the Hotel am Konzerthaus was developed under the motto of “Backstage on stage". This is also reflected in the approximately 200 rooms. While the black areas such as the entrance and bathroom entrance stand for “backstage”, eye-catching materials such as velvet, wood and brass characterise the “onstage” areas.

For the Albertina's fall exhibition, “Gothic Modern,” two key design elements served to structure the seven exhibition rooms: first, a powerful colour narrative on the walls, and second, the use of curved, suspended partitions to create distinct spaces.
